WPMS Community Event

Come hear the inspiring true story about one girl’s dream to change the world.

  Rachel's Challenge

While her life was tragically cut short during the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999, Rachel Joy Scott’s shining example of kindness and compassion was not defeated that day. Come hear the inspiring true story of one girl’s dream being fulfilled over a decade after her death. The presentation is a powerful reminder of the little things we can do every day that make our world a better place.

Meet the Warriors
Join us for a cookout on Tuesday September 29th from 5-7.  There will be food and games and desserts.  Come enjoy this community event, meet our staff and have some fun!

We have some updates about next week.  Wednesday September 16th will be an early release day with school releasing at 11:55.  We will have parent data conferences with our teachers with time slots between 1 and 4 pm.  Students will be coming home with a sign-up form where you can select the three best times you can meet with us.  We will have our conference times finalized by Tuesday so you will know what time your child's conference will be. These meetings are extremely important in reviewing each student's academic history and setting goals for this year's EOG's.  Please make the best effort you can to attend.  We will have a Title 1 information meeting at 12:30 if you would like to attend and hear about our plan for Title 1 money this year.

Next week, we will have our first round of benchmarks in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Math.  Please help support us in stressing the importance to your child about giving his/her best effort on these benchmarks.  We use this information to improve our instructional practice to have a positive impact on student success.
